OUR SUPPORT FOR TARONGA ZOO
For almost 100 years there have been thousands of wonderful memories created at Taronga Zoo. It’s not just home to more than 340 species and 4,000 animals, it’s a place where children, families and people of all ages from Australia and overseas have the chance to get close to the animals and share an amazing experience.
Spread across 28 hectares of land, Taronga offers unique opportunities to get near some of the Zoo’s animals and find out more about how they live. Taronga’s Wildlife Hospital nurses injured animals back to health before returning them to the wild. Taronga’s wildlife conservation initiatives include breeding programs to protect endangered species and save them from extinction.
Taronga relies on the support they receive from the community and their corporate partners to carry out their conservation work. Without this help, the Zoo would be a different place.
