ARA is proud to launch our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) for 2018-2020 and join over 1,000 Australian organisations that have committed to RAP programs with Reconciliation Australia.

Our RAP aims to provide solid opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their businesses to succeed. It is with the dedication of ARA Indigenous Services’ General Manager, Suzanne Grech, that ARA was able to embark on an ‘Innovate’ RAP framework and start making tangible and meaningful change in our company, our communities and our spheres of influence.

Our RAP steering committee (which is comprised of majority senior management and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representation) is responsible for ensuring that ARA delivers strong outcomes for the commitments we have made in four key areas:

  • Meaningful Community Partnerships;
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Business Inclusion;
  • Sustainable Employment and;
  • Cultural Awareness.

We encourage all of ARA’s staff and stakeholders to familiarise themselves with our steering committee and our RAP, and we expect that ARA’s commitments will be embraced by the Group in the years ahead.

The ARA Group spans over 40 locations throughout Australia and New Zealand, and we acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we live and work. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and future.
