The ARA Group is pleased to announce that on 28 May 2019, ARA acquired NEDA Facilities Services  (NEDA), a building services business based in Auckland. Led by Managing Director Greg Froude, NEDA provides comprehensive facility services for some of New Zealand’s largest and most significant organisations – from major retailers, commercial offices and infrastructure companies to government departments, educational facilities and heritage buildings.

Edward Federman, Executive Chair and Managing Director of ARA, is looking forward to the opportunities that the addition of NEDA represents for ARA: “We hope to bring many of the services that we do in Australia, such as insurance repair, thermal imaging, and remedial building works to New Zealand through Greg’s business”.

The acquisition represents yet another important development in ARA’s growth in New Zealand. ARA first expanded into New Zealand in 2017, through the acquisition of Active Control and Security (ACS), as led by ARA Security’s Managing Director, Tony Franov. Today, we have offices for ARA Security and ARA Manufacture across Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Kerikeri.

NEDA is based in Auckland and provide reliable electrical, plumbing and building maintenance services for clients across New Zealand. Greg is pleased to report that his team are already looking forward to the opportunities made possible through this combination, and especially in regard to the existing synergy between NEDA and ARA Security services. “It’s a huge opportunity”, he said, “Everyone that I’ve talked to is ecstatic. We’re really excited to see what kind of work we can bring on by offering a more complete, more comprehensive and extended service requirement for our clients”.

Greg will also be leading the ARA Security services businesses in New Zealand and reporting to Tony Franov. We are pleased to welcome Greg and his highly capable team to ARA.
